Drawings and paintings

I love painting and drawing and can use oil paints, watercolour, pastels, charcoal and pencils to create landscapes, portraits, figure studies, still lives and flowers. I enjoy teaching adults how to draw and run regular art classes and workshops around Norfolk.

I've always loved drawing and always wanted to be an artist. I think that once you learn to draw properly you can tackle most subjects and handle most mediums with a high level of skill. My favourite subject is people - generally regarded as the most challenging! As an illustrator I've had to work hard to learn how to draw my figures with convincing gesture and expression. For visual story telling you have to be able to pose your figures and put them into action!

I enjoy commissions and I'm happy to paint portraits in oil or watercolour. I try to capture the expression and character of the sitter in an effortless style. A moment in time held forever! I'm happy to work from life or from photos so do get in touch. I also enjoy landscapes and again I can work to commission, creating particular scenes to particular sizes to fit your living space. These are usually created from your own photographs so please get in touch to discuss the landscape you'd like to own.
