Norfolk illustrator school visits

I've been visiting schools and libraries for over 20 years as an author and illustrator. I enjoy sharing my books with the children and drawing fun characters for them. I run workshops in writing and drawing and I particularly like to demonstrate how one can tell a story with pictures.

I enjoy creating stories with children as they always have so many ideas - usually too many! I can show them how to choose an idea and develop it into a complete story, considering the characters, the events and the resolution of the plot.

Children love drawing characters and I can show them how to draw their figures and animals in action, in a way that conveys story, with great costumes and dramatic expressions. I can show them the illustrator tricks that help bring drawings to life.

With fun drawing demonstrations I teach not only how to draw the body, but also how to make it run, jump, dive, swim and even ride a dragon. I can show the children how to think of ideas before they begin drawing and how to create all sorts of characters such as pirates, princesses, warriors, dancers, footballers and even school children!
